How was MEDIA LANGUAGE used to show the social context of the 60s ? In the 60s, men were seen as more powerful than women - this is portrayed in 'The Town of No Return' through camera work. At the start of a scene, the first character we see is a man, and the camera is at a low angle. This gives the man power, as we are looking up at him. Comparing this to when we see the woman, we see a full body shot of her showing off all of her curves and natural beauty.
